Because I possessed an antique Asian inkwell (and traveled in China), I became interested in the art of ink on rice paper, and after lessons, realized that my Western viewpoint really couldn’t be erased from my brushstrokes. However, the commingling of cultural influences and training produced these results, and forever altered my work going forward.
